On Thursday, the Finance Department of Haryana Government issued an order stating that there will be a 4% increase in the dearness allowance (DA) for state government employees who are currently receiving their pay based on the seventh pay commission structure. This will raise the DA from its current rate of 38% to 42% of the basic pay, effective from January 1, 2023.
The announcement stated that the increased dearness allowance will be included in the pay for April, while the arrears for the months of January to March, 2023, will be paid in May.
According to another order from the finance department, the Haryana state government has increased the dearness relief (DR) by 4% for pensioners and family pensioners who receive their pensions based on the 7th pay commission structure.
