With the rising popularity of AI applications such as ChatGPT, there is growing recognition among businesses and society of its potential to fundamentally transform conventional ways of operating. This is especially relevant in light of Google’s reported plans to upgrade its search engine to cater more effectively to the younger generation, through a more “human, personal, snackable, and visual” approach, as documented by The Wall Street Journal on Saturday.

The report highlights Google’s intention to deviate from the traditional “10 blue links” format of presenting search results and adopt a more human-centered approach by incorporating greater use of human voices. This change aligns with Google’s strategy of improving the search experience for younger generations by introducing more “visual, snackable, personal, and human” features.

Reportedly, Google is planning to announce new capabilities at its upcoming I/O developer conference that would enable users to interact with an AI program named “Magi.” The reported features are anticipated to align with Google’s aim of making its search engine more human-centered by integrating more human-like voices.

This year has witnessed a surge in interest in generative AI, as various applications captivate the public’s imagination and incite a race among companies to launch comparable products that could revolutionize the nature of work. However, in response to Reuters’ inquiry, Alphabet Inc.’s Google has yet to issue a statement on this trend.
