Odisha: Ahead of celebrating 65th Birthday in Odisha, Russian lawmaker and philanthropists Pavel Antov found dead in a hotel in India, reported by TASS. According to the police statement, the multi-millionaire was on vacation in the Rayagada district of Odisha to celebrate his birthday. Moreover, he was allegedly found dead from fallen out of third floor of hotel’s window, the police added.
Taking notes from the recent incidents, it is the second death of Russian Lawmakers in the same hotel happening within a week.
The first incident happened on 22 December. A 61 year-old, Vladimir Bidenov, Pavel’s co-traveler, was found lying unconscious in his room on the first floor of the same hotel. According to the police, there were few empty wine bottles around Vladimir. Despite rushing to the district hospital, the doctors declared him dead.
The two deceased Vladimir and Pavel was a part of a Russian tourist group of four members along with their tour guide Jitendra Singh. On Wednesday, they checked into a hotel in Rayagada town.
While investigating the incident, the Superintended of the police, Vivekananda Sharma said that the officials had cremated the body on Monday. The decease was found on Sunday, December 25.
Further, SP said, “4 people came to stay in a hotel in Rayagada on December 21. On December 22 morning, one of them (B Vladimir) died. After post-mortem, it was found that he suffered a heart stroke, died and was cremated. His friend, (Pavel Antonov) was depressed after his death and he too died on Dec 25.”

Senior police officer has said that Pavel’s death seems to be more a case of suicide. “Pavel was in depression due to the death of his friend,” the senior officer added.
During the investigation, Jitemdra Singh, the Russian Tour Guide said, “Our people came to stay in Rayagada hotel. One of them a 61 yr old man B Vladimir was ill. The next morning, when we came to his room he was found lying unconscious, we called the police.”
