According to insiders close to the project, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan was influenced by Amitabh Bachchan’s Aakhree Raasta, which was an official remake of Kamal Haasan’s Tamil film, Oru Kaidhiyin Diary. “Akhree Raasta and Oru Kaidhiyin Diary” starred Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan as father and son.
