Golden Globe Awards: SS Rajamouli’s RRR ‘Naatu Naatu’ Song Wins Best Original Song; Actors Share Posts On Social Media

Golden Globe Awards: RRR conquered its place at the Golden Globes 2023. SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster RRR, won Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu, one of the two categories it was nominated in.

The Golden Globe held in Beverly Hills of Los Angeles. Comedian Jerrod Carmichael hosted the event. This time, several people from India have been seen on the red carpet of the Golden Globes.

RRR’s Naatu Naatu Song Wins At Golden Globe

SS Rajamouli’s RRR masterpiece Naatu Naatu song has received the Best Original Song award.

Naatu Naatu’s Telugu version is composed by veteran music director MM Keeravani and written by Rahul Sipligunj along with Kala Bhairava. Keeravani reached the stage to receive the Golden Globe Awards.

In a tweet, Golden Globe Awards congratulated RRR’s team for winning the title.

RRR Nominated In 2 Categories

Taking notes from the nominations, ‘RRR’ has been nominated for the Golden Globe Awards in two categories; Non English Language and Best Original Song Motion Picture.

RRR missed out in the Best Non-English Language Film which was won by Argentina, 1985 from Argentina. Other nominees in the category include All Quiet on the Western Front (Germany), Close (Belgium), Decision to Leave, (South Korea).

The nominations for the Golden Globe Awards for 2023 were announced on 12 December 2022.

RRR’s Actors On Winning The Title

RRR actors Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Junior NTR expressed their happiness of winning the Title on social media. Actor Ram Charan has shared Keeravani’s photo with the Golden Globe Award. “And we won, Golden Globe,” the post said.

While an interview by Variety Magazine on the red carpet, Ram Charan said that when he was shooting an action sequence and had to dance vigorously on ‘Naatu Naatu.’

Sharing about the experience while shooting the song, he said, “My knees were hurting, and probably still is.”

“It was a kind of beautiful torture and look where it took us. We are standing here today standing on this carpet talking about it. Thanks everyone for this,” he added.

Junior NTR shared a post on Twitter and wrote, “Congratulations Sirji on your well-deserved #GoldenGlobes award! I’ve danced to many songs throughout my career but #NaatuNaatu will forever stay close to my heart… @mmkeeravaani.”
