Milo Anthony Ventimiglia Remembers His Early Hollywood Days: “I Couldn’t Find Job, It Was Difficult To Work, But…”

Actor Milo Ventimiglia spoke deeply on his new series The Company You Keep and his character. He discussed how challenging it was for him to obtain work in Hollywood in a recent interview. He discussed his worries about being unemployed. On February 19 at 10 p.m., American Broadcasting Company will debut its programme, The Company.

In a conversation with Variety, Milo told he did not get work after Heroes, and said, “I had a hard time working, I couldn’t get a job. It was one of the one or two times in my career where I thought about, what if I did something else. What if I got out of Hollywood? What if I left, and moved out of the country? What if I did something completely different than the path that I had been on? Because I couldn’t get work.”

Milo’s difficult era

“You’re out there, you’re pounding the pavement, you’re taking meetings, you’re auditioning, you’re putting what you can into those auditions, and you’re not getting the work,” he said when discussing his difficulties as an actor. Hence, it’s kind of like, “Well, what am I doing here still selling if they aren’t purchasing what I’m selling?”

After portraying Peter Petrelli on all four seasons of Heroes from 2006 to 2010, Milo was ready to give up. Fortunately, he landed parts in two independent films, which gave him the boost he needed to get back into the business, and he later said, “From there, the last almost 14 years, I just haven’t stopped.”

The Company You Keep, Milo’s future project has tremendous expectations. On Sunday, February 19, it will air on ABC. Division Pictures is the show’s producer. Actor Catherine Haena Kim will take on the part of Charlie Nicoletti, a charming but dishonest con man who begins a relationship with Emma Hill after experiencing heartbreak.

“There’s an honesty to how we’re depicting these individuals, within the boundaries of that intimacy that you find in your romantic partner,” he said when discussing the programme with Variety. You’ll be pulling for them even though you know it’s almost impossible for them to be together because, in my opinion, it will serve as the show’s anchor.

Milo has acted in numerous movies, including Killing Season, Dirty Deeds, Boys Life 2, Kiss of the Damned, and others. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Ultimate Spider-Man, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, Opposite Sex, and other television series feature him as a guest star.
