Pakistani Actor Javed Sheikh Slammed By Netizens, After He Discloses His Fee For The Role Of Shah Rukh Khan’s Father In Om Shanti Om

Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan’s fan following has no limits. Many actors and actresses have expressed their desire to work with the king khan. Now, recently Pakistani actor and SRK’s co-star who played the role of his father in the famous film ‘Om Shanti Om’ in 2002. Javed Sheikh revealed that when he was asked to quote his fee for the role in the movie, he only asked for Rs 1.

Javed Sheikh’s Statement

In a recent interview, Javed stated, “Their manager came to me, and said they needed to sign the contract. I said, ‘Yes’. ‘What will be your fee?’ I said I won’t take any money. The thing is that firstly it’s a matter of honor for me that I am playing Shah Rukh’s father in his biggest film ever. India has so many actors. You choose anyone and they will be ready to take on this role. But Shah Rukh and Farah Khan choosing me are a thing of honor for me. That’s why, because of Farah and Shah Rukh, I will not take any money.”

He further added that he said to the manager, “You go and tell Shah Rukh I will take just one rupee. I’m not joking.” Then, the film’s team decided how much Javed should be paid. “When they sent me the first cheque, it was shocking itself.”

Netizens Reacted

Javed Sheikh’s revelation did not go well with his Pakistani fans and well-wishers. Many thought that he had no self-respect.

One wrote, “This is what you call not having any self-respect. The man didn’t even charge any fee for his job,”

Another commented, “This man should have chosen a minimum professional fee at least. Why come across as someone with no value in front of others,”.

 One said, “This is what you call not having any self-respect’, another wrote, ‘That’s again showing them how little we are and you are our superior.”

 “Omg that’s again showing them how little we are and that you are our superiors. Regards how big they are. You should get money for your work. No one work for free,”.

Javed Sheikh’s Workfront

Apart from Om Shanti Om, the Pakistani actor has also worked in various Hindi films like My Name is Anthony Gonsalves and Namaste London, in which he played the role of Upen Patel’s father. In his upcoming film, Javed will be seen playing the role of a business tycoon.
