Sara Ali Khan-starrer Gaslight, coordinated by Pavan Kirpalani, strolls the very path that has been taken by numerous films that preceded it, according to some Twitter clients. On March 31, when the movie debuted on Disney+ Hotstar, the first social media responses to the murder mystery began to pour in. While a segment of Twitter clients called Gaslight ‘exhausting and slow’, others said a wheelchair-bound Sara Ali Khan ‘became bothersome to watch after 30 minutes’.

She discovers that something terrible has occurred to her father when she arrives at his ancestral home, but she is unable to persuade anyone else of the same. Chitrangda Singh stars as Sara’s stepmother Rukmini in Gaslight. Along with Akshay Oberoi, Shishir Sharma, and Rahul Dev, Vikrant Massey plays Kapil, Sara’s father’s right-hand man.
