The Parted Life Of Lovebirds: The Memory Of My Broken Engagement Is Still Fresh, Says Raveena

After collaborating on the 1994 blockbuster Mohra, Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar became a popular duo. Their on-screen relationship developed into a love affair in real life. In the late 1990s, after two years of dating, the couple was engaged. They eventually split up. It irritates Raveena that people continue to bring up her broken engagement to Akshay.

Raveena responded to a reporter’s question about it by saying, “It comes up, and it comes up like there’s a fight between everyone whom he’s involved with. Hello, once I was no longer in his life, I started seeing someone else, and he had started dating someone else as well. Where does jealousy come from?

She continued by saying that because she had opted not to read any articles about her engagement to Akshay, she couldn’t even recall the precise date. She also commented on people’s obsession with their failed engagement, saying she finds it strange that everyone still thinks about it.

“During Mohra, we were a hit duo, and even today, whenever we run into each other socially, we all meet and chat. Everyone moves on. College girls swap boyfriends every week, but for some reason, the memory of one broken engagement is still fresh in my mind. What’s the big deal? Everyone moves on, people get divorced, and then they move on, she added.
