A Land Of Folklore Produces Yet Another Gem: “National Anthem Guitarist”

The state of Nagaland was formally inaugurated on December 1st, 1963, as the 16th state of the Indian Union. It is bounded by Assam in the West, Myanmar (Burma) on the east, Arunachal Pradesh and part of Assam on the North and Manipur in the South.

The State consists of 16 (Sixteen) Administrative Districts, inhabited by 17 major tribes along with other sub-tribes. Each tribe is distinct in character from the other in terms of customs, language and dress.

It is a land of folklore passed down the generations through word of mouth. Here, music is an integral part of life; folk songs eulogising ancestors, the brave deeds of warriors and traditional heroes; poetic love songs immortalising ancient tragic love stories; Gospel songs that touch your soul (should you have a religious bend of mind) or the modern tunes rendered exquisitely to set your feet a-tapping.

Nagaland has a population of 1,980,602 as per the 2011 Census of India.

Now for the first time Imnainla Jamir from Mokokchung was performing at Nagaland’s Hornbill Festival 2022 during which she played The National Anthem of India on an Electronic Guitar.

Earlier During Independence day a video that has gone viral on social media features a little boy singing India’s national anthem Jana Gana Mana. The video was posted on Twitter handle named Vertigo Warrior and it has 1 lakh views. The boy’s cute antics will make you fall in love with this video.

In the now-viral video, the little boy can be seen singing Jana Gana Mana. Though his pronunciation is a little out of place, but you won’t really mind because his cuteness will melt your heart. This rendition is probably what you need on a Saturday morning to make you smile.

“One of the most heartwarming renditions of our national anthem. Pure heartfelt emotion.!
