All-Time High India’s Exports In 2022-23: Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal

According to Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, India’s exports will reach an all-time high of $773 billion in 2022 and 2023. While tending to FIEO’s Niryat Shree and Niryat Bandhu Grants capabilities in New Delhi on May 3, 2023, the priest further said that exporters should mirror their capacities to improve shipments. “The coming days and weeks will be extremely challenging. From what we saw today in the Ukraine-Russia war, the situation is only getting worse. The coming months and years will be extremely difficult. However, “tough times are the time when people with determination demonstrate their capabilities,” the Union Minister stated.

The minister also stated that Indian exporters have demonstrated resilience despite global economic uncertainty and that exports of goods and services have reached USD 773 billion. He was additionally certain that commodities would reach USD 2 trillion by 2030. “Let us all collaborate to ensure that we will demonstrate the path to the rest of the world for trading across borders, into newer markets, and trading in newer products made in India for the world. Serving India to the world economies, creating economies, investigating new business sectors and new open doors, broadening our commodity container, empowering joint efforts and speculation both within the nation and universally, and turning out to be internationally more aggressive Our exports and future international engagements will be driven by these. We need to guarantee that the world perceives India as a brand of quality and dependability,” said the trade service.

The 17th set of Niryat Shree and Niryat Bandhu Awards was presented to deserving exporters and service providers at the FIEO event in recognition of their exceptional export performance and incremental export growth. In his welcome speech, Dr A. Sakthivel, President of FIEO, also praised the award recipients for their outstanding efforts during the difficult period of global trade. He said the nation is glad for their sheer persistence in the midst of careful preparation.

Dr Sakthivel expressed gratitude to the Minister for his assistance and pointed out that exports had experienced impressive growth of over 55% in just two years, bringing total exports to USD 770 billion in 2022–23 and adding USD 218 billion, or 17.44 lakh crores, in the previous two fiscal years.
