Corona: Rising Cases In China, Many Nations On Alert Including India

Corona: The number of Covid cases in China has raised concerns in a number of nations, particularly because medical professionals fear that this might set off an explosive Covid tsunami that spreads over the whole world. India has released a crucial advice amid these worries.

The Health Ministry has begun to hold a review meeting of the coronavirus situation in India in light of the recent spike in Covid cases in countries such as China, the United States, Japan, and Brazil. It is anticipated that a fresh Covid alert would be released in this respect on Wednesday.

According to official sources, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will assess the pandemic scenario on Wednesday. A new travel warning is anticipated to be released for foreign travel, particularly to Brazil, China, Japan, South Korea, and the US.

In order to maintain track of more recent mutations, the Health Ministry has advised all states and union territories to speed up whole genome sequencing of positive samples.
In a letter to the states and UTs, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan stated that such an effort would allow for the prompt discovery of any novel varieties that could be present in the nation and would make it easier to implement the necessary public health measures.
