Covid In India: Big step of Central Government, RT-PCR is necessary for passengers coming to India from these six countries

Covid In India: Corona cases are once again increasing rapidly in many countries of the world including India. The condition is worst in China. Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya told that from 1st January, RT-PCR test has been made mandatory for passengers coming from six countries. He said that the passengers will first have to upload their negative reports on the Air Suvidha portal.

Amid the global resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Union Health Ministry has made it mandatory for travelers from China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Thailand to undergo RT-PCR test before departure.

In a statement on Thursday, the Ministry said that international passengers traveling to India from China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Thailand shall mandatorily undergo RT-PCR test before departure from their respective countries. Covid negative RT-PCR test reports will have to be uploaded on the Air Suvidha portal from 1st January 2023. The statement from the ministry said that travelers should be tested within 72 hours before traveling to India.

268 new cases surfaced in the last 24 hours

Covid In India: In the last 24 hours, 268 new cases of corona virus have reported in India, while the number was 188 on the previous day. The Union Health Ministry gave this information on Thursday. The number of active cases is 3,552, which is 0.01 percent of the total positive cases in the country.

Significantly, in many countries of the world including India, the cases of corona are increasing once again. The situation is worst in China. Central and state governments in India are on alert mode regarding Corona. Governments are active regarding equipment, beds and medicines related to Covid in hospitals.
