Dwarka: Delhi’s Police Assisstant Sub Inspector Car Hit 6 Vehicles; Several Injured In Dwarka Mor; Case Registered Against The ASI

Dwarka: Ahead of the Kanjhawala accident case, a private car belonging to Delhi Police Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) hit six vehicles. Several people in Delhi’s Dwarka mor area were injured. The six vehicles were totally damaged during the accident, includes a PCR van.

The Delhi Police said, “Case registered against an ASI of Delhi Police, posted in Outer dist for ramming 6 vehicles, including a PCR van, at a red light in Dwarka Mor area last night. He was travelling in his private car when the accident took place. 4 people, including ASI, sustained injuries.”

A case has been registered against the officer and further legal action is being taken. His blood samples have been taken to determine the alcohol content analysis, said the police.

Ahead of the accident, three medico-legal cases have been received from hospitals pertaining to this incident and none of the injuries are serious in nature.

“Legal action is being taken against him and his blood sample taken for blood alcohol content analysis,” the Delhi police added.

According to the eyewitness, the car that hit the vehicles standing at a red light belonged to the police. It has now come to fore that the Swift car was the private vehicle of an ASI of Delhi Police, posted in the outer district and he also sustained injuries in the accident.

Kanjhawala Case

On Sunday night, a 20-year-old woman, Anjali Singh was killed after her scooty was hit by a car. She was dragged to death under a vehicle for 12 Kms in Delhi, said the police. According to the police, the woman’s family has alleged that she was sexually assaulted. Five men were in the car, a Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and they have been arrested. The arrested men include a credit card collection agent, a driver and a ration shop owner, the police added.

Ahead of the deceased autopsy reports, there were no signs of rape or sexual assault detected.  Anjali was cremated at the Shivpuri Mukti Dham cremation ground today in the evening.

Over one thousand police and paramilitary personnel were deployed around the victim’s house. They took the body to the cremation ground to avoid any untoward incident.

People gathered outside the cremation ground, carrying placards and photographs of the victim. They were raising slogans of ‘Justice for Anjali’ to register their protest against the police.
