Emergency Landing: IndiGo Flight Diverted To Bhopal Amid Medical Condition Of A Passenger On Board

A Delhi-bound IndiGo flight, which originated from Cochin, diverted to Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal due to a medical emergency on board, the airlines said.

As per the statement issued by the IndiGo airlines, it said, “IndiGo flight 6E 2407 operating from Cochin to Delhi has been diverted to Bhopal due to a medical emergency on board. We regret the inconvenience caused to other passengers.”

Passenger took to the nearest hospital

According to the Bhopal airport officials, after landing at Bhopal airport, without wasting a second, quickly offloaded the passenger and shifted him safely to the nearest hospital.

Similar case

Earlier this week, An Air India flight from New York to Delhi was diverted to London on Monday due to a medical emergency onboard. The incident took place on February 20. The flight that departed from New York at 11.05 pm on Sunday was scheduled to arrive at Delhi airport at 11.25 pm.

One more flight diverted

Dammam-bound Air India Express flight from Calicut was diverted to Thiruvananthapuram after its tail brushed the ground during takeoff today.

The officials said that a full emergency was declared at the Thiruvananthapuram airport and the flight landed safely.

Suspected tail strike in Air India Express flight

As per the officials, Air India Express flight IX 385 on the Kozhikode-Dammam route diverted to Thiruvananthapuram due to a suspected tail strike while taking off from Kozhikode airport.

Speaking to the media, the airline officials said, “We are making arrangements to send the passengers to Dammam by an alternate flight which is scheduled to take off from Thiruvananthapuram at 3.30 PM today.”

They also added that the airline staff are attending to all the requirements of the passengers at Thiruvananthapuram.
