The officials said a fire broke out early Saturday on the fifth floor of Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital in northeast Delhi’s Shastri Park neighborhood.
According to fire officials, a fireman was involved in the incident and received minor injuries.
At 12.16 am, the fire service was notified of the incident, and eight fire tenders hurried to the spot.
A senior fire official said that no more casualties were reported, adding that the flames were extinguished within an hour.

However, the furniture, Air Conditioning unit, and false ceiling in the meeting room on the fifth floor of the hospital caught fire.
The official further said, “Firefighter Sumit, who sustained a hand injury while putting out a fire, received first aid at the hospital”.
“In a separate incident, a printing press shop in the Lodhi Colony area caught fire around 7.40 am. With the assistance of eight fire tenders, the fire was controlled by 10 am”, the officials added.
