Delhi Court Saturday extended the remand of former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia till Monday. Judge MK Nagpal directed the CBI to produce him before the court on Monday.
Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was arrested over his alleged involvement in the liquor policy scam on February 26, 2023. He resigned from the Delhi cabinet on February 28, 2023.
Prior, Sisodia challenged the CBI’s move in the Supreme Court. The court advised him to go to the high court, after which he withdrew his application and said he will go to the trial court.

CBI earlier informed the court that Sisodia was interrogated daily till almost around 8 PM during the period of custody. It sought a further three days’ remand to question the AAP leader while alleging that Sisodia has not been cooperative.
Manish Sisodia said in his bail request that keeping him in custody will serve no fruitful purpose.
Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister also told the court that questioning for 8-10 hours daily amounts to third-degree torture.
He further said, “It is a sort of mental harassment only”.
The court has asked the CBI to not ask repeated questions and also directed them to conduct his medical tests at regular intervals.
The court has also scheduled his bail hearing on March 10, 2023.
