I work in good faith and I believe that is the reason of success and that is why there is no shortcut to success. To be a successful person, you put in your intention and hard work earnestly and leave the rest to the almighty, that is the only formula.

Moved to Mumbai at the age of 16

In the year 1978, at the age of 16, he moved to Mumbai to try his luck. And then within two to three years Gautam Adani’s entrepreneurial journey began. However, he still regrets not finishing college. He believes that early experiences made him wise but formal education only expands knowledge.

Called proximity to PM Modi baseless

Gautam Adani, the third richest person in the world, in an interview given to a media group, encountered a question asking if the proximity to Prime Minister Modi is behind the success of the group? Adani replied that it is baseless. ”We do business in 22 states. We don’t have any problem in any state.” Adani said, “I would like to tell you that you cannot take personal help from Prime Minister Modi. I consider Rahul’s allegations as political rhetoric only- Adani

During the interview, Gautam Adani also openly responded to the allegations made repeatedly by Rahul Gandhi. He said, Rahul Gandhi is a respected leader and he also wants the progress of the country. He said, “I consider the allegations leveled by him as mere political rhetoric and I do not take these things seriously.” He said, “Rahul Gandhi has to run a political party, there is a fight on ideological grounds. There are allegations and counter-allegations. I am a normal industrialist and do my work, while Rahul Gandhi works according to his own choice.”

The country is moving up on the path of progress – Adani

On the question of his constantly increasing wealth in Adani Group, he said, ”I do not fall into the illusion of these figures. The major thing for me is what I can do to bring a change in the country. Now if you go to see why the figures have increased, then I see that the country is going uphill on the path of progress. I say with full confidence that no one will be able to stop the position India is in today and the position it will be in in the coming 20 to 30 years will surprise the world.”

Bombay taught me many things – Gautam Adani

He said that ”I never ran after figures. I was 15 years old, after passing 10th standard, the family’s circumstances were such that I had to leave for Mumbai without completing my studies, without completing my graduation. That journey lasted for 4 years. After that I came back to Ahmedabad. Bombay taught me many things. Taught me how to do hardwork and then my business journey started. Mine was a middle class family, a family of business, I had come into business as a 19 year old boy. Then apart from handling my family business, I had a strong desire to do something.”

Family supported me a lot – Adani

He said that my family supported me a lot and on that basis I came forward. There were many difficulties and many people were established. But I see that at different times in my life people have supported me to achieve my success. I see that whatever I am today is because of them.

Gautam Adani also gave answers about veteran industrialist Mukesh Ambani. He said, his father and founder of Reliance Industries, Dhirubhai is an ideal and an inspiration for us. His son Mukesh Ambani is a very good friend of mine and I respect him a lot. He has contributed a lot in the progress of the country. Apart from his business of petrochemicals, he has given a new direction to Reliance with Jio, technology, retail sector. India will astound the world in the years to come.
