A Chennai-based entertainment start-up called Jadooz is opening mini-theatres in Baramulla, Handwara, and Bandipora after operating mini-cinemas in Shopian and Pulwama for the past ten months.
One is being planned by the business in south Kashmir’s Betaab Valley near Pahalgam.
According to the company’s MD, who was reported by the publication The Hindu, a screen would ultimately be brought to Betaab Valley in Pahalgam to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Sunny Deol-Amrita Singh movie.
By the end of June 2023, the company intends to open mini-theatres in three additional locations.
The decision to expand, according to the publication, was made after the firm evaluated Pulwama’s foot traffic in Shopian’s mini-theatres during the previous 10 months.
