Indore: Indian Journalism Festival Begins, 17 Best Investigative Journalists To Be Honoured In This 3-Day Event

The three-day Indian Journalism Festival has begun in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. More than 100 senior journalists and editors from different media organizations are participating in this program. During the event, a souvenir based on the media’s code of conduct will also be published. Moreover, 17 senior journalists for best investigative journalism will be felicitated with Surendra Pratap Singh (SP Singh) Smriti Media Award.

Details of the event

Indian Journalism Festival is being organized on 14, 15 and 16 April at Ravindra Natya Griha of Indore State Press Club. In this program, more than 100 senior journalists and editors of the country have reached Indore to participate in the festival focused on the topic of Media and Society: Darkness of Faith.

Speaking to the media, the coordinator of the grand event and group editor of Bharat Express News Network, Sudesh Tiwari said, during this event, a souvenir ethics focused on the media code of conduct will also be published. He told that 17 senior journalists for best investigative journalism will be honoured with Surendra Pratap Singh Smriti Media Award. Media persons doing better work in the city will also be honoured.

Several senior journalists attended this event

Senior journalists Upendrra Rai (New Delhi), Om Thanvi (Jaipur), Jaishankar Gupta (New Delhi), Ramesh Sharma (Bhopal), Sana Parveen Waris (Hyderabad), Kumar Rakesh (New Delhi) and Radheshyam Rai (New Delhi) also attended this programme. Also, the Chief Guest and senior journalist Omprakash Mehta will be honoured with Shrinaresh Mehta Memorial Life Time Achievement Award by the hands of Uttam Swamiji. In the second session at 2.00 pm, there will be a discussion on the topic of popularity and challenges of cartoons.

Senior cartoonists Rajendra Ghodpkar (New Delhi), Manoj Sinha (New Delhi), Sandeep Adhwaryu, Nilesh Khare (New Delhi), Pawan Kumar (Patna), Abhishek Tiwari (Jaipur), Nilesh Khare (New Delhi) and Ismail Lahiri participated in this session. (Indore) will participate. Media persons of Indore will be honoured with the award on this day at 7 pm at Srimaya Celebration AB Road.
