Kashmir University Preparing To Host Youth20 Consultation Amid India’s G20 Presidency

Srinagar/BNS: The University of Kashmir is busy preparing to host the forthcoming Youth20 Consultation, an official engagement group under the G20, on May 11.

A delegation from the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports recently visited the university to discuss logistical and other preparations for the event.

The meeting was presided over by Vice-Chancellor Prof Nilofer Khan, who asked the chairpersons of several committees to provide a full account of preparedness in areas such as transportation, catering, site development, media publicity, seating arrangements, IT domains, and cultural programmes.

Outside the main venue, special kiosks will be set up to showcase the best practises of the University of Kashmir as well as the rich cultural heritage of J&K.

The Youth20 Consultation’s theme is “Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction: Making Sustainability A Way of Life,” and the university has invited youth participants as well as students from other academic institutions in the UTs of J&K and Ladakh to ensure a more inclusive and result-oriented event.
