KCR’s Daughter To Be Questioned By ED Again Tomorrow

K Kavitha, daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, was earlier questioned by CBI three months ago in December 2022. In connection with the Delhi Liquor scam the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader had to face CBI questions on 12th of December last year.

The ED is preoccupied investigating money laundering allegations which are linked to the liquor policy case of Delhi. Significantly, the day before yesterday liquor baron Amandeep Dhall was sent to judicial custody till March 21 by a Delhi court which also sent Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Ramchandra Pillai to Enforcement Directorate’s custody till March 13th. Kavitha’s summons comes a day after the judicial custody of these two people.

The allegations of ED say that Kavitha is a party to the case being involved in the “South Cartel” that has been benefitting her from kickbacks in the liquor policy case of Delhi. Kavita responded strongly to the summons and dismissed the allegations and then she opted for legal opinions.

Her statement also followed in which Kavita said, “I am a law-abiding citizen, and will cooperate fully with the agencies involved in the investigation. Nevertheless, due to the prefixed appointments as well as Dharna, I am going to explore legal opinions on the date of attending it,”

Another party leader stated over it, “The ruling party at the Centre should know that these intimidation tactics against the voice of our leader, CM Shri KCR will not be able to deter our party. The leadership of KCR Garu, will continue to fight to expose the failures of the BJP. The BRS will not stop raising voices for a better and brighter future for the country.”

Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, has also been questioned By the government agency probing the case. Now he is in Tihar Jail where he was questioned for around five hours yesterday.
