Modi hatao, desh bachao: Anti-Modi posters

According to the officials, the police have removed nearly 2,000 anti-Modi posters from several parts of Delhi. Most of these posters had the slogan “Modi hatao, desh bachao (Remove Modi, save the country).”

Speaking to the media, Special CP Deependra Pathak said, “Delhi Police registered 100 FIRs while 6 people were arrested for objectionable posters including some against PM Narendra Modi across the city. The posters didn’t have details about the printing press. The FIRs have been filed under sections of the Printing Press Act and Defacement of Property Act.”

Moreover, almost 2,000 posters, which were allegedly being delivered to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s office, were seized by the Delhi police. Also, the police found the posters when they intercepted a van in the IP Estate area in Central Delhi. The driver told police that he had been instructed to deliver the posters to the AAP headquarters.

The river also said that he had delivered a similar consignment on Monday too.

Taking to Twitter, AAP questioned the FIRs and asked what was objectionable in the posters.
