Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ landed in New Delhi today to begin his four days India visit to India.
Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi greeted him warmly upon his arrival.
The official spokesperson of MEA, Arindam Bagchi tweeted, “PM @cmprachanda of Nepal arrives in New Delhi on his first overseas visit after assumption of office. Warmly welcomed by MoS @M_Lekhi at the airport. The visit will impart renewed momentum to the close and unique India-Nepal relationship”, through his official Twitter handle.
The Ambassador of Nepal to India, Dr. Shankar P Sharma announced the arrival of Nepal Prime Minister ‘Prachanda’ in the national capital on Twitter. He tweeted, “Rt. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Pushpa Kamal Dahal has arrived in New Delhi on a four-day official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.PM Dahal was warmly received at the airport by MoS Smt. @M_Lekhi”, through his official Twitter handle.
According to an earlier release from the Ministry of External Affairs, the visit continues the tradition of regular high-level exchanges between the two nations in support of India’s Neighbourhood First policy.
During his visit, Nepal’s Prime Minister will also meet with President Droupadi Murmu and Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar.
As a part of his trip, he will also visit Ujjain and Indore in addition to his formal engagements.
Mr. Dahal will begin his travel plan the following day (Thursday) by placing a wreath at Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial at 10.30 am.
