New Trend In West Bengal: Protest By One And All; National & State Parties Protesting Altogether

One-of-a-kind set of incidents have taken place in West Bengal. All the political parties active in the state are seen protesting for one or the other reason against each other.

Index of Protests

West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamta Banerjee will be protesting against the BJP-led union government. Also, Trinamul National General Secretary, Abhishek Banerjee would be addressing a public meeting at the Shahid Minar ground on the same issue as Banerjee.

BJP on the other side will protest against the “Massive corruption in public recruitments and loot of central funds by the Trinamul Congress”.

In addition to this, The Bengal Pradesh Congress has planned a protest rally against the “unjust and unfair rejection of Rahul Gandhi’s Lok Sabha membership”. The rally would also highlight, the “Modi-Adani anti-national relationship” and demand a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the Adani issue.

Lacking nowhere behind, CPM has also planned a rally to protest against the “corruption’ in public schemes. All the protests will take place at different locations in the capital city of Kolkata. Such a series of events is highly unlikely to happen. It will definitely act as an obstruction to the functioning of the city.

West Bengal CM alleges centre government

Mamta has stated that she will be protesting with a dual motive and role. “I am the chief minister of Bengal. Therefore, if there is any injustice against the people of Bengal, I have a responsibility. I am the Chairman of the All India Trinamul Congress. And this government is of All India Trinamul Congress. So today I am holding this dharna not on behalf of the state government but on behalf of the All India Trinamul Congress. That’s why you see the Trinamul Congress logo. So I am doing double duty, told the CM.

She also mentioned that she is not wasting government funds like BJP. Banerjee said, “But I don’t do all this by wasting government money like BJP. So it’s a team event. But we are from the government. All our ministers are also here. And you can see that there is a constitution in front. The constitution is kept by those who respect Indian democracy. Respects the Constitution of India. We sit here today to defend India’s citizenship, India’s secularism, India’s democracy.”
