Rajasthan: Jodhpur Cylinder Blast, 32 Dead

Rajasthan: So far 32 people have died in the cylinder blast accident in Jodhpur. After the death of 5 people injured in this accident on Saturday, the death toll has increased to 32. On the other hand, after the cylinder blast in Jodhpur, the relatives of the deceased protested outside the hospital and sat on a dharna. The relatives of the deceased are saying that the announcement of the compensation amount made by the government is less. The relatives are demanding a compensation of Rs 50 lakh from the government.

After this accident, the family members are sitting on a dharna regarding their demand. The patience of the family members is breaking due to frequent deaths. For the people who lost their lives in the accident, the central government has announced an assistance of two lakh rupees and fifty thousand rupees to the injured. This amount will be given from the PM Cares Fund. It was informed by the PMO that PM Narendra Modi has announced financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh for the families of those who lost their lives in the accident and Rs 50,000 for the injured.

What is the demand of the relatives ?

Demonstration by the family members continues after the accident. The relatives of the dead, the injured and others are sitting on a dharna outside the hospital. The protesting relatives have demanded a government job from the government along with a compensation of 50 lakhs for the dead and 25 lakhs for the injured.

Rajasthan: What happened on 8th December ?

The procession of Surendra Singh was to go to Khokhsar on Thursday in Bhungra village of Shergarh in Jodhpur district. A crowd of 300 people attended the wedding ceremony. Preparations were on for the wedding procession, a crowd of people including children and women had gathered in the house. It was time for the procession to leave at 4 o’clock. Before the procession, tea was being prepared for the baraatis, then suddenly there was a blast in the cylinder. Due to the explosion, gas and fire had spread throughout the house. Some members of the house, including children and women, were engulfed in the fire. To save the people trapped inside, some people went inside the house in the burning fire, due to which they also got burnt. In the accident, 60 people including the groom and his parents got scorched and 5 people died on that day itself.
