Twitter, on Saturday, impeded the handle of the information office Asian News Global or ANI for not gathering the “age necessities.”
Smita Prakash, Editor of ANI, posted a screenshot of the message that the micro-blogging site sent, which read: You must be at least 13 years old to set up a Twitter account. Your account has been locked and will be deleted from Twitter as a result of Twitter’s determination that you do not comply with these age restrictions.
The Twitter handle of ANI, which professes to have more than 100 agencies in India and across the globe, presently conveys the message ‘This record doesn’t exist’.
Smita Prakash tweeted, calling it “bad news.” So, bad news for those who follow @ANI: Twitter has blocked India’s largest news agency, which has 7.6 million followers, and sent this email to people under 13! Our blue tick was taken in place of our gold tick, and we are now locked out.
