Match preview: GT vs MI- On Friday, May 26, the Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI) will face off in the second qualifier for the Indian Premier League 2023. The match will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. With ten victories in 14 games, GT took the top spot in the points standings this season. MI is currently in fourth place in the standings with eight victories out of 14 games.

When GT played Chennai Super Kings in the previous match, they won the toss and decided to bowl. In 20 overs, CSK scored 172 runs for the loss of seven wickets thanks to an opening stand of 87 runs between Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad. Although GT altered their batting order a bit, it didn’t seem to help. Gill attempted to assist the team in completing the task by scoring 42 runs off of 38 deliveries. In the end, GT scored only 157 runs in 20 overs and suffered a 15-run defeat.

In their previous game against the Lucknow Super Giants, MI won the toss and decided to bat. The middle order performed admirably for MI, enabling them to score 182 runs in total in 20 overs while losing only eight wickets. LSG lost the match by 81 runs, as they could only muster 101 runs in 16.3 overs before being declared out. Akash Madhwal was named Player of the Match after taking five wickets for five runs in 3.3 overs.
