Love Knocks the Doors Of Bindu In The Form Of Herself

Gujarat Woman Who Married Herself Celebrated First Karwa Chauth By Looking In A Mirror

Kshama Bindu, an Instagram content creator, married herself in June of this year and celebrated her first Karwa Chauth. Ditching the tradition of marrying another person, Bindu opted for sologamy and married herself, personifying self-love. Now, following the traditions of a married woman in India she also celebrated her first Karwa Chauth.

If anyone asks how you define self-love, marrying yourself and vowing to follow sologamy for life, should be the answer. Gujarat woman, Kshama Bindu married herself earlier this year and broke the internet with the news. Now, she is again in the limelight for celebrating her first Karwa Chauth, of course, for herself.

The Vadodara woman married herself on June 8, 2022. She had initially planned to marry herself on June 11, 2022, but changed plans after a BJP representative objected to her wedding and warned that she wouldn’t be permitted to marry in a temple.

The wedding ceremony was conducted after all rituals such as haldi and mehendi. Her parents gave their blessings for her self-marriage. She went on a two-week honeymoon to Goa after the wedding.

Ideally, a married woman fasts for the entire day and eats something at night only after watching the moon and their partner. She is married to herself, so she saw herself in a mirror before breaking the fast. Bindu took to Instagram to post pictures of herself looking at her reflection in the mirror through a sieve.

“Aaj pehla karwa chauth manaya, Maine khudko jab aaine pe dekha, Apna khoya guroor nazar aaya. Happy Karwa chauth,” she wrote in the caption with the series of photos.

People lauded her efforts

Following the post many people lauded Kshama. A user wondered, “Me soch hi rahi thi tum kaise dekhogi apne aap ko! Mirror is a nice option. Mujhe laga k photo vagera dekhna padega.”
