Etah Fake Encounter: Life Imprisonment To Five Policemen And Five Years Jail To Four, CBI Court Sentenced

Etah Fake Encounter: The CBI court of Ghaziabad, UP has today sentenced in the case of a fake encounter. The court has convicted nine policemen, including the SHO, under different sections. The sentence was debated earlier today, after which the court gave its verdict. In the year 2007, the High Court transferred this case to the CBI.

Life Imprisonment To 5 Policemen Including SHO

In the year 2006, there was Mulayam Singh’s government in Uttar Pradesh. On August 16, the police of Sidhpura police station of Etah district killed furniture artisan. Rajaram, a resident of Milawali village, in an encounter (Etah Fake Encounter). 16 year old case Today the court held Pawan Singh, Pal Singh Thenwa, Rajendra Prasad, Sarnam Singh and Mohkam Singh guilty of murder and destruction of evidence and sentenced them to life imprisonment. Along with this, a fine of 33 thousand was also imposed.

Etah Fake Encounter: Four Policemen Sentenced To 5-5 Years

So at the same time, the CBI court has considered other convicts, including Baldev Prasad, Sumer Singh, Ajay Kumar and Awadhesh Rawat, accused of erasing evidence and common intention. After which the court has imposed a jail term of 5-5 years and a fine of 11 thousand to all these accused.

High Court Had Transferred The Case To CBI

Actually, in the year 2006, Etah police had killed Rajaram of Milawali village in an encounter (Etah Fake Encounter). The wife of the deceased had appealed in the High Court and demanded that the matter be investigated by the CBI. The High Court had transferred the case to the CBI on June 1, 2007, while hearing the matter.

The CBI team probing the case has arrested SHO Pawan Singh, SI Ajant Singh, Pal Singh Thenwa, constable Sarnam Singh, constable Rajendra Prasad, driver Mohkam Singh, sub-inspector Baldev Prasad, sub-inspector Sumer Singh, constable Ajay Kumar and Awadhesh Rawat. The charge sheet was filed considering him as an accused. However, during the hearing of the case, Inspector Ajant Singh had died.
