Gujarat Elections: Dharmendra Singh Vaghela, An Independent Candidate, Has Won This seat, Which Has Been Held By The BJP Since 1998.

Gujarat Elections: The result of Vaghodia assembly seat in Gujarat’s Vadodara district was full of vicissitudes this time. Independent candidate Dharmendra Singh Vaghela has snatched this seat, which has been held by the BJP continuously since 1998. BJP (BJP) has come on the second number here. BJP had fielded Ashwinbhai Patel as its candidate here.

Dharmendra Singh Vaghela won by 14,006 votes. Vaghela had finished second here in the last election. In 2017, he was defeated by Madhu Srivastava from BJP.

Madhu Srivastava was denied ticket by BJP

BJP did not give ticket to Madhu Srivastava, who was MLA here for 6 times. Madhu Srivastava had hit her stride in the election season as an independent candidate.

Madhu Srivastava had been winning the election for 6 consecutive times from this seat. Madhu Srivastava was known as a strongman and Bahubali leader of BJP. His statements often remain in the headlines.

Madhu Srivastava’s name also figured in the Best Bakery case in the 2002 riots. He was angry with the BJP since the ticket was cut and he rebelled against the BJP.

Madhu Srivastava had filed nomination as an independent candidate from Waghodia assembly seat. On the other hand, BJP had given ticket to BJP’s Vadodara district president Ashwinbhai Patel from this seat. The Congress fielded Satyajit Singh Gaikwad and the Aam Aadmi Party fielded Gautam Rajput from here.

Talking about the votes received by the candidates on this seat, according to the Election Commission, Dharmendra Singh Vaghela, who won the election, got 77,905 votes. After this, Ashwinbhai Patel, who was at number two, got 63,899 votes and Congress’s Satyajit Singh Gaikwad, who was at number three, got 18,870 votes. On the other hand, Madhu Srivastava, who spoiled BJP’s game, remained at number four in this election and got 14,645 votes.

BJP’s dominance

Madhu Srivastava has been winning from this seat from BJP since 1998. Although he was elected MLA from this seat in 1995 independently. Later he joined BJP.
