Bleed Blue! India Wins T20I 3rd Match Against Kiwis, Lifts Trophy; Shubham Gill Be New Superstar Of Indian Cricket

T 20 IND Vs NZ: Team India won the T20I finals and its third match with 166 runs against the Kiwis, New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. A maiden T20I century from Shubman Gill and a four-wicket haul from Hardik Pandya guided Team India to conquer the victory.

Highlights of the match

Team India opted to bat first, which posted a massive total of 234/4 in 20 overs after Gill remained unbeaten at 126* off 63 balls and Rahul Tripathi also smashed 44 off 22 balls.

Taking notes from New Zealand’s team, Ish Sodhi, Michael Bracewell, Blair Tickner, and Daryl Mitchell scalped one wicket each.

Later, Hardik Pandya took four wickets while Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, and Shivam Mavi scalped two wickets each as the visitors got bundled out for 66. With this win, Team India clinched the three-match series 2-1.

New Superstar of the Indian Cricket Team: Shubham Gill

Shubham Gill has become a new superstar in the Indian cricket team.

Taking Twitter, BCCi also congratulated Shubham’s performance and wrote, “@ShubmanGill  scored a remarkable 126* off just 63 deliveries and bagged the Player of the Match award as #TeamIndia registered a 168-run victory in the #INDvNZ T20I series decider.”

He has made several records during his century innings of 126 runs. Gill became the youngest player to score a century for India in T20. Gill’s score is the highest in ODIs for India against New Zealand. By playing innings of 208 runs, Gill broke Sachin’s record of 186 runs.
