Mumbai Indians Became First Champion Of WPL, Beating Delhi Capitals By 7 wickets

WPL 2023 Final: The Women’s Premier League final was played between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. Mumbai Indians won the first season of the Women’s IPL by winning this match.

After winning the toss, the Delhi Capitals elected to bat first. Mumbai Indians bowled brilliantly in response, guiding Delhi’s top order to the pavilion in just 60 runs.

For a brief moment, it appeared that ‘Delhi Capitals’ would be unable to score even 100 runs. However, Shikha Pandey and Radha Yadav’s stormy half-century partnership turned the match around.

Delhi Capitals has set a target of 132 runs ahead of Mumbai. The Mumbai Indians team achieved the target in 19.3 overs while chasing it. Natalie Sciver of Mumbai Indians scored fifty, and the team won easily.
