Our Privacy Was Hurt: Pakistani Cricketer Shaheen Afridi Expresses Anger Over Wedding Leaks

Shaheen Afridi, who got married to Shahid Afridi’s daughter on Saturday, is not happy over the leaks on social media.

Pakistani Cricketer took to Twitter to confirm his wedding and thanked everyone who wishes him well. He tweeted, “AlhumduLillah, Almighty has been very kind and generous. May we always remain as a garment to each other. Thank you everyone for the well wishes and making our special day even better. Remember us in your special prayers”, through his official Twitter.

Pakistan pace bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi lashed out at those who leaked pictures and videos of his wedding well before the couple officially shared them on social media.

Shaheen took to Twitter to criticize those who shared his wedding pictures. “It’s very disappointing that despite many and repeated requests, our privacy was hurt and people kept on sharing it further without any guilt. I would like to humbly request everyone again to kindly coordinate with us and not try to spoil our memorable big day”, added in another tweet on his official Twitter handle.

Last year, the couple had gotten engaged. On the occasion of their wedding, Shahid Afridi, Shaheen’s father-in-law, took to Twitter to confirm his daughter’s wedding. He tweeted, “Daughter is the most beautiful flower of your garden because they blossom with great blessing. A daughter is someone you laugh with, dream with, and love with all your heart. As parent, I gave my daughter in Nikkah to @iShaheenAfridi, congratulations to the two of them,”  through his official Twitter handle.

The grand wedding ceremony took place in Karachi on 4 February 2023 with many Pakistani cricketers and guests present.
