T20 International series: Time For B Team To Grab Attention

T20 International series: Since all the key players are back at home getting ready for the series that will start later this year, it will be a test of India’s bench strength. The Indian squad, led by Hardik Pandya, will like to get the T20 format off to a strong start, especially in the batting area.

New Zealand on the other hand suffered in yet another semi-final and thus they would be looking to cheer up the home crowd with a victory in this series.

However, there are many fringe or second-choice players who demand longer ropes and are knocking at the door to come into the first team on a more regular basis.

For these players the absence of the regular king size players will be a great opportunity for the fringe players to grab the selectors’ as well as the team management’s notice.

India Anticipated Playing 11

India would enter the tournament with a completely different starting lineup than the one that participated in the T20 World Cup. With his raw pace, Umran Malik will be present. It’s also likely that Yuzvendra Chahal will return to the playing 11 along with Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, and Sanju Samson, who can be seen in the top three. With Pandya batting at number five and Rishabh Pant at number six, Deepak Hooda, who only participated in one T20 World Cup game, can also bat at position four.

Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya(C), Rishabh Pant(W), Deepak Hooda/Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik

New Zealand Anticipated Playing 11

For New Zealand, Trent Boult and Martin Guptill have been rested and Adam Milne has been given an opportunity to bounce back. With his raw pace and ability to swing the new ball, he could be really handy upfront. Also, Blair Tickner, who didn’t get a game in the World Cup, could be in with a chance as the Kiwis would most likely go in with a solitary spinner. The rest of the team could be the same that played the World Cup semifinal.

Finn Allen, Devon Conway(W), Kane Williamson(C), Glenn Phillips, Daryl Mitchell, James Neesham, Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee, Adam Milne, Lockie Ferguson, Blair Tickner
