Yogi Gift to Gorakhpur: Five Hundred Crore Project coupled with huge employment

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered a grand gift to Gorakhpur and on the Gida Divas announcement of the gift of 504 crores, also opens the door of bigger employment opportunities in the state.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath announced a memorable gift on the occasion of Gida Divas to Gorakhpur. During the occasion, CM Yogi laid the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 504 crore. Along with this CM Yogi also inaugurated 49 projects like Plastic Park, Readymade Garment Factory costing about Rs 260 crore. After the completion of these schemes, people living in Gorakhpur and nearby districts will get employment opportunities.

CM Yogi also distributed the certificate of allotment of land to the investors of projects worth Rs 1200 crore in this program. At the same time, this was for first time in the last few years, when CM Yogi did not reach Gorakhnath temple and left for Lucknow directly from Gorakhpur.

Earlier the roads were not good – CM Yogi

During the occasion, CM Yogi said that efforts were started in 1989 for the establishment of Gida, but all those efforts remained burried in papers only. There were no means of transport and the roads were also not good. In 1994-95, if we had to go to Lucknow, it used to take 8 to 10 hours to cover the distance from Gorakhpur to Lucknow. If you try to go from Gorakhpur to Varanasi even a year ago, it would have taken at least 6 to 7 hours.

There was no air connectivity- CM

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Gorakhpur city did not have air connectivity. The connectivity was closed in the early 1990s itself. A service of Vayudoot used to run here. Seats were not available in the train. I was an MP from 1998 to 2017 and we all have seen how many people used to queue up for recommendation for reservation.

Significantly, since becoming the Chief Minister, CM Yogi has been working towards development in Gorakhpur city and surrounding areas. After the completion of these schemes in Gida, people along with development will also get employment, so that people will not need to go to Delhi, Mumbai or any other city for employment. They will get it at home.
