Author Tom Holland: Whole Of India In My Timeline

Author Tom Holland has asked Indians to stop tagging him in posts regarding Tom Holland, a famous Hollywood actor. The author stated on Twitter that he had been inundated with tweets from Indians after his namesake arrived in Mumbai on Friday with his girlfriend-actor Zendaya to attend the grand opening weekend of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Culture Centre (NMACC).

The Spider-Man: Homecoming star was one of several high-profile attendees at the NMACC launch in Mumbai over the weekend. Zendaya, his girlfriend, accompanied him. Gigi Hadid, Penelope Cruz, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Karan Johar, Natasha Poonawalla, Anand Mahindra, and many more attended the three-day launch.

It goes without saying that the high-profile NMACC launch sparked a lot of excitement on social media, and as a result, a few people confused the verified Twitter account of author Tom Holland with that of the Hollywood star of the same name.

After being bombarded with posts about actor Tom Holland in India, the author of Dominion was forced to issue a clarification.

Author Tom Holland tweeted “Please make it stop” in response to a photo of Spider-Man star Tom Holland posing with Nita Ambani, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Zendaya on the second day of the NMACC launch.

“It seems like I have the whole of India in my timeline!” he added in another tweet in response to someone who apologized on behalf of all Indians for the ironic case of mistaken identity.

However, Mr. Holland breathed a sigh of relief today after learning that actor had departed from India. “Phew”, the author tweeted, looking forward to a break from the continuous mentions of his namesake.
