Bill Gates Eulogy: ‘At A Time When The World Is Facing Many Crises, India Offers Hope For The Future’

One of the richest tycoons of the globe, Bill Gates has words of admiration for India. The philanthropist businessman says, “India offers hope for the future, even as the world faces many crises.”

This is one of the latest in Bill Gates’ blogs. He further writes, – I believe that with the right innovation and delivery channels, the world is able to make progress on many big problems simultaneously.

The co-founder of Microsoft and co-chairman of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, expresses high hopes for India. His blog “Gates Notes” has the words – “India has a hope for the future and proves that the country can solve big problems together, even though the world is facing many crises today. ”

Here is what Bill Gates further writes: ”I believe that with the right innovation and delivery channels, the world is able to make progress on many big problems at once, even at a time when the world is facing many crises”…  ‘There is not enough time or money to solve both at the same time. But India has proved this notion wrong. Gates wrote in his blog, ‘There is no better proof of this than the remarkable progress India has made.’

‘India is going to become the most populous country’

Over the issue of population, Bill Gates holds – ”India gives me hope for the future. India is going to become the most populous country in the world. This means that most of the problems out there cannot remain unsolved. Even after this, India has proved that it can deal with big challenges.” Bill Gates further writes about India – ”The country has eradicated Polio, reduced the spread of HIV, reduced poverty, reduced infant mortality and increased access of common people to sanitation and financial services.”

‘Shaken hands with CGIAR institutes’

The billionaire also opines that India has developed a world-leading approach to innovation, which ensures that solutions reach those who need them. Bill Gates says, “The Gates Foundation joins hands with India’s public sector and CGIAR institutions to support the research of the IARI. They found a new solution – chickpea varieties that have a 10 percent higher yield and are more drought-resistant.”
