Russia-Ukraine War: Moscow-Kyiv Hit By Drones, War Intensifies

Russia Ukraine War: On Tuesday, Russia said that Ukrainian drones hit Moscow but were shot down. Kyiv was also hit by air three times in 24 hours. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the morning drone attack has injured two people. Two of the apartments were also damaged but the people were rescued on time.

25 drones attacked Russia

According to Russia’s Defence Ministry eight drones were sent by Kyiv which were nuetralised. However, Baza a telegram channel with links to security services said more than 25 drones attacked Russia. The residents and the people who witnessed event said that they heard loud bangs and the surrounding was filled with the smell of petrol. Some of the people even filmed the drone being shot down.

Most serious assault on Moscow

Lawmaker Maxim Ivanov called it the most serious assault on Moscow. He said, “You will either defeat the enemy as a single fist with our Motherland, or the indelible shame of cowardice, collaboration and betrayal will engulf your family.”

Kyiv not involved in attacking Moscow

However Ukrainian presidential aide Mykhailo Podolyak refused to accept that Kyiv was involved in attacking Moscow on Tuesday though said that, “we are pleased to watch and forecast more to come.”

Drone Attack On Kyiv

As per the Ukrainian Defence Force they shot down 20 drones on Tuesday. One person died and four were injured when debris from a from a destroyed Russian projectile hit a high-rise apartment. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his address on Monday said, “US-supplied Patriot anti-missile defences were achieving a 100% interception rate. Terror will be defeated.” Natalya Gumenyuk, a spokesperson for Ukraine’s southern military command said, “These missile attacks of a fairly dense frequency are aimed specifically at exhausting both our air defence forces and our physical and moral strength.”

Kyiv wants full withdrawl of Russian troops

Moscow claims that it has invaded Ukraine to denazify the country and protect Russian supporters staying in Ukraine. Russia says that it is ready to ready to resume peace talks with Ukraine however, Kyiv says that the only way to end war is through full withdrawl of Russian troops from the country.
