During a broadcast, CBS LA weatherwoman Alissa Carlson Schwartz’s eyes rolled to the back of her head, and she collapsed to the floor.

Alissa was about to give a 7 a.m. report when she tripped and fell onto the desk in front of her before landing on the floor.

Nichelle Medina and Rachel Kim, two news reporters, introduced her without seeming to notice that the moment was airing.

“Let’s start off with a check of your next weather with meteorologist Alissa Carlson”, Nichelle appeared on screen as Alissa.

She leaned forward slowly behind her desk before collapsing.

“Alissa, this really is the calm before the storm”, Nichelle continued, but when the sound of Alissa’s body hitting the floor was heard in the studio, Rachel cried out and got up from her seat.

“We’re going to go ahead and go to break right now”, Nichelle said abruptly, as the programme continued to show the empty desk where Alissa had been standing seconds before.

After the intermission, a pre-recorded show was broadcast rather than the programme returning to a live part.

Mike Dello Stritto, vice president and news director for CBS Los Angeles, told the publication, “This morning’s 7 AM newscast saw the illness of one of our colleagues, Alissa Carlson. I want to express my gratitude to her coworkers for acting quickly to console Alissa and dial 911″.

At the moment, Alissa is receiving treatment at the hospital.

Alissa sent an update on social media to inform her followers: ‘Thanks for all the texts, calls, and best wishes”.

“I’m going to be OK!”, she assured them.
