Five hours after burying and saying her final goodbyes to her husband, a woman in the United States was murdered in a car accident.

Sarah Nowak, 42, perished in an accident on April 1, 2023, while her husband Louis passed away from cancer on March 19, 2023.

Patricia Cartwright, her mother, said to the publication, “She couldn’t exist without him, in my opinion. She is therefore with him”.

“It’s really hard because you get done and then five and a half hours later, you get a phone stating that your daughter was in an accident”, her father Randal Cartwright continued.

Deputies arrived at the scene of the single-vehicle collision on State Highway 106 near Calkins Road in Palmyra just before 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.

According to Jefferson County Sheriff Paul Milbrath, the investigation revealed that the driver lost control of the vehicle, which then went into a ditch and flipped. Although one passenger was ejected from the car, both victims died on the spot.

They decided to marry in 2017 after six children and two previous marriages. According to her mother, they were “a perfect match”.

Everyone was family to Ms. Nowak, according to the obituary that her loved ones penned in memory of her. The obituary stated that “she never had a full house because she always had room for more”. The message went on to explain that she enjoyed taking travels with Louis and the kids to make memories with them that would last a lifetime.

Others recall Louis as a person who enjoyed time with family and friends, tinkering on engines & motors, traveling to swap meetings, camping, classic vehicles, and classic rock music, among other things.

“Louie would always be there to provide a helping hand, or to have a nice discussion”, his obituary states.
