Women Entrepreneurs Network Nagaland (WENN), in collaboration with State Bank of India (SBI), sponsored a financial literacy session for women-owned companies in Mokokchung on July 17 as part of its series of seminars.
According to a news release from WENN, Mokokchung was the fifth district to host a workshop related to the organization’s “Financial Literacy” subject.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mokokchung, Tsuvise Phoji praised WENN for its efforts to create a network with local women entrepreneurs during the programme and stressed the significance of cooperation and unity among them.
Phoji said the district provided many of prospects for business owners and asked them to investigate the possibility of business expansion outside of the district into nearby areas, pointing out that Mokokchung was renowned as the “land of pioneers”.
Viliezoto Neikha, the workshop’s resource person and assistant branch manager at SBI Mokokchung Town, gave participants a detailed lesson in financial literacy.
Insights into financial management, different types of accounts, loans, credit scores, and other crucial components of financial literacy for entrepreneurs were offered throughout the programme.
