In the first ODI out of the three-match series against SL, batting first Team India India looks to post its 10th win in 13 ODIs at home since the start of 2020. The game today saw the return of Indian stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma who skipped the T20I series against Sri Lanka, which Sri Lanka lost with a 1-2 result against India.

In the match today after a long time the top batting order witnessed its excellence in form. Rohit Sharma with 83 runs and Shubhman Gil with 79 started off on a winning note. Virat Kohli coming to his King Kohli form scored another century with 113 runs and supported by KL Rahul’s 39 and Shreyas Aiyar’s 28 saw the scoreboard reach 373 runs.

T20 Skipper Hardik Pandya could only add 14 runs whereas Axar Patel with only 9 runs did not impress much and the last pair of Muhammad Siraj and Muhammad Shami made 4 and 7 run only.
