Delhi Schools To Remain Closed Till 11 July Amidst Heavy Rainfall In The National Capital

Delhi schools will remain closed in Delhi on Tuesday i.e. June 11 as well. MCD has given information about this by issuing a letter.

Delhi School Closed: Floods and rains continue to wreak havoc across the country. It has been raining in the capital Delhi for three consecutive days, due to which there has been water-logging in many places. People are facing a lot of problems in commuting. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert due to heavy rains. Meanwhile, the Kejriwal government has decided to extend the school holidays. Schools will remain closed in Delhi on Tuesday i.e. June 11 as well. MCD has given information about this by issuing a letter.

Delhi CM make announcement for Delhi schools

Let us tell you that on Sunday, CM Kejriwal had announced through a tweet that due to heavy rains, he had announced a holiday for schools on Monday. Although it is raining in Delhi right now. That’s why the Delhi government announced to keep the schools closed on Tuesday as well.

Yamuna River crosses the danger level

Heavy rains have thrown life out of gear in Delhi. At the same time, Yamuna has also started taking ferrocious form. The water level has reached above the danger mark. Earlier this morning, in view of the danger of flood, the Chief Minister of the state Arvind Kejriwal held a high-level meeting with all the ministers, officials, and the mayor. Many leaders including Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj, Atishi Mayor were present in this meeting. In the meeting, the rising water level of Yamuna was discussed. After the meeting, CM Kejriwal further said that according to the CWC, the water level in Yamuna river in Delhi is 203.58 metres. It is expected to reach 205.5 meters tomorrow morning. But, according to the weather forecast, the water level in Yamuna is not expected to rise much.
