Global Sikh Community Supports PM Modi, Citing His Contribution To National Progress

Discussing the support Modi garners from the Sikh community, another Indian-origin individual in the US, Vipin Dutta, opined that the Prime Minister enjoys widespread backing, transcending the Sikh community.

A well-known Sikh leader named Darshan Singh Dhaliwal recently expressed his strong support for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, pointing to his crucial contributions to both the Sikh community and the country as a whole.

Dhaliwal stated, “The Sikh community genuinely supports our Prime Minister,” in a conversation with ANI. We are present today to express our admiration for his leadership and to thank him for his wonderful work on behalf of the Sikhs and of India as a whole.

On his trip to the 9/11 monument, Dhaliwal spoke passionately about India’s never-ending efforts to combat terrorism. “India is really working hard to combat terrorism,” he said. And everywhere else and at home, we can see it. The Sikh community has been expressing sympathy, but Dhaliwal noted that “there are very few people who are kind to us.” These statements served as a moving reminder of the common problems that the global community faces and our shared duty to solve them.

At John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, PM Modi was met with a warm welcome. Taranjit Singh Sandhu, India’s ambassador to the United States, and Ruchira Kamboj, India’s permanent representative to the UN, were present to welcome him.

Discussing the support Modi garners from the Sikh community, another Indian-origin individual in the US, Vipin Dutta, opined that the Prime Minister enjoys widespread backing, transcending the Sikh community.

Speaking about PM Modi’s noteworthy achievements, Dutta commented, “Not only the Sikh community, but people across the board back Narendra Modi, our Prime Minister, who has brought about extraordinary changes over the past eight or nine years. His impact is evident, and it’s how India has reached this stature on the global stage.”

We Sikhs are unquestionably extremely appreciative of Narendra Modi’s efforts on behalf of our community. We’ve come together today in particular to welcome him on his state visit because of our appreciation for him. We are incredibly proud of his accomplishments and happy to be here, he continued.

Another American of Indian descent made a rhetorical comment about PM Modi in relation to the extraordinary regard and attention the Sikh community has received from a leader since India’s independence.

Dashan Dhaliwal’s invitation was greatly appreciated, and he said, “Today, the world recognises the Sikh community as India’s defenders. Thanks to Modi’s inclusive policies, the community, which was once stigmatised, is now thriving and rich. We know how to live life to the fullest since we are proud Punjabis. It is crucial to acknowledge the Sikh community’s sacrifices and contributions to our current position, and Modi is fully aware of this.

Additionally, he emphasised the appeal of the Golden Temple in Amritsar to people of all faiths and the respect that the Sikh community has on a global scale, signalling the greatest perceptional shift he has ever seen.
