A young visionary named K Lenangh Angh nursed a dream to bring about change in his beloved Northeast India in the lovely village of Longleng, Nagaland. The May I Help You Organisation (MIHYO) was established by Angh on May 1st, 2018, as a result of his abiding love for community development and his own personal experiences.

MIHYO quickly became a beacon of hope for the youth and rural communities of the region. Angh, armed with a dedicated team of like-minded individuals, embarked on a mission to uplift living standards and tackle the pressing issue of unemployment. MIHYO aimed to empower the unemployed youth by offering them opportunities for growth and self-sustainability.
Recognizing the burden on the government to create sufficient employment opportunities, MIHYO took a different approach. Angh firmly believed in the power of entrepreneurship to drive change and inspire innovation. MIHYO provided a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs, especially those with limited qualifications or who had dropped out of school, to harness their talents and realize their dreams.
MIHYO understood the importance of preserving the cultural heritage and promoting the unique local products of Northeast India. The organization embarked on a mission to uplift rural communities by promoting indigenous crops and organic farming practices. By cultivating vegetables, managing fruit farms, and even venturing into fishery ponds, MIHYO ensured a sustainable income stream while championing local agriculture.

Though the journey was not without hurdles, MIHYO’s unwavering determination propelled them forward. Initial funding limitations did not deter their progress. Instead, they leveraged their resilience and resourcefulness to gradually expand their reach. With their headquarters in Longleng and a sub-divisional office in Shillong, MIHYO had its sights set on further growth and impact.MIHYO’s commitment to local products manifested in the launch of the “Made in Eastern Nagaland” brand. Under this label, the organization manufactured a diverse range of locally made products, including chili powder, turmeric powder, seasonal juices, chips, pickles, ice cream, and cakes. By showcasing the rich flavours and craftsmanship of the Frontier Eastern Region’s seven tribes, MIHYO aimed to boost market development and create a platform for talented artisans. May I Help You Organization presently has around 40+ members and 13 official active members.

“MIHYO’s focus is not limited solely to the Eastern region and Nagaland but will also expand to encompass the entire Northeastern states,” stated Angh.

MIHYO’s impact resonated far beyond the tangible outputs. Through the establishment of youth clubs, community engagement programs, and cultural preservation initiatives, the organization fostered a sense of collective growth and development. MIHYO’s work became a catalyst for positive change, instilling hope, and inspiring a generation of young individuals to believe in their potential. As MIHYO continued to make waves in Northeast India, K Lenangh Angh and his passionate team remained resolute in their commitment to building a better future. Their story is one of determination, resilience, and a deep-rooted love for their region. MIHYO’s relentless efforts to uplift youth and rural communities brought about transformative change, where local products were celebrated, talents were honed, and communities thrived.
