Seminar On ‘Drugs-Free But Empowered Villages’ Held At Yongnyah Village

According to the DIPR report, Dr. Pritpal Kaur, SP Longleng, spoke about the drug problem in Longleng and methods for controlling the supply and demand chain.

On July 23, DEF Longleng police, in collaboration with Phomla Hoichem, held a “Drugs Free but Empowered Villages” event at Yongnyah village, Longleng.

According to the DIPR report, Dr. Pritpal Kaur, SP Longleng, spoke about the drug problem in Longleng and methods for controlling the supply and demand chain. She asked society and law enforcement to work together to educate the next generation about the dangers of drugs and intoxicants. Dr. Kaur also discussed the legal process and the roles of many parties in battling the drug epidemic. She also emphasised the necessity of empowering villages via hard labour, honesty, and education.

Earlier, VDB secretary of Yongnyah village, Bonglom, made the welcoming address, while ES (PBCA), Tialemba emphasised the significance of regulating drug users and aiding their rehabilitation.

Phomla Hoichen’s president, Mano, and Ainyu both spoke on drug usage prevention, the role of women, and the importance of women’s empowerment.
More than 500 villagers from Yongnyah, Yongshei, Tangha, and Yongam villages attended the lecture.
