M A Yusuff Ali, chairman of the LuLu Group and vice-chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, was present for the yearly ritual washing of the Kaaba in Makkah.
In a video posted on social media, Yusuff Ali, one of the group, was seen introducing himself to and interacting with the officers while standing inside the sacred Kaaba.
Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, head of the general presidency for the affairs of the two Holy Mosques, Prince Badr, and the accompanying dignitaries used Zamzam water mixed with rose water, oud, and other perfumes to wash the interior of the Kaaba.
Typically, the entire procedure takes two hours. The Kaaba’s interior has three-meter-long inner walls and a green silk covering on the inside of the roof.
The “hanging lanterns” inside the Kaaba were depicted in a video clip that was broadcast on Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ekhbariya channel. Another video clip captured the moment the Kaaba’s door was opened in order to wash it.

The lower portion of the Kiswah was raised on Tuesday in accordance with the Prophet’s custom by the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.
On Tuesday evening, July 19, the first of Muharram, the custom of changing the Kiswah (Ghilaf-e-Kaaba) at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, which ushers in a new lunar month, takes place annually.
