Rahukaal does not have a fixed time every day, on the basis of astrological calculations, it can happen anytime be it morning, afternoon, or evening.

As per Astrology, doing or starting any new work in Rahukal does not bring success. Moreover, any other auspicious work is also not supposed to be done during this period.

What is Rahukaal?

In the world of Indian astrology, Rahu is considered as an inauspicious planet. It is considered to be such a planet, which secretly drank nectar during the Samudra Manthan (the churning of the ocean). Every day there is a time during the twenty four hours which is considered inauspicious from the point of view of astrology. That’s why this inauspicious period has been given the name of Rahu and it is called Rahukaal. Although it does not have a fixed time every day, on the basis of astrological calculations, it can happen anytime be it morning, afternoon, or evening.

Duration of Rahukaal

Daily Panchang calculates this period and calculates its fixed time. It is forbidden to do any auspicious work during this period. Talk about how long Rahukaal lasts, then according to the calculation, its duration is considered equal to the eighth part of the day from sunrise to sunset.

In other words, the duration of Rahukal is one hour and thirty minutes every day. If Rahu is in an inauspicious position in someone’s horoscope, then the person has to face problems during this period. In such a situation, relief can be found by adopting some measures.

Ways to avoid the effect of Rahu

When Rahu is inauspicious in the horoscope, mental to financial problems remain. There is also a possibility of some kind of evil happening during Rahukal. In such a situation, some remedies related to Rahu are especially effective.

To get rid of problems in Rahukaal, one should light a four-side facing Diya chanting the name of Rahu and keep it at some place. Then the person should go to the roof of the house and feed the birds.

Reciting Durga Chalisa during Rahukaal is also beneficial. Taking a coconut and a few pieces of coal tied in a blue cloth and flowing it in the river also brings its benefits. Rahu is considered a great devotee of Lord Shiva. In such a situation, worship of Lord Shiva is also beneficial.
