Stock market live: Before the big economic event, there were ups and downs in the market. Today, Nifty closed at 17,662 with a gain of 13 points, Nifty Bank gained 268 points at 40,655 and Sensex closed at 59,548 with a gain of 49 points. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 24 closed in green and 25 in red. 9 out of 12 Nifty Bank closed in green mark and 3 in red mark. Midcap, and smallcap stocks saw strong growth. Energy, Infra, and Realty indices closed with gains today. Selling was seen in IT, and Pharma stocks.
